Development of new Ternary Cements with reduced Clinker content

The purpose of this technical report is to communicate, to the CEN TC 51 WG 6 Ad Hoc Group “CEM X”, the results of a technical study led by both CRIC-OCCN and Lafarge on the characterization of some ternary Cements, containing Portland Clinker, Limestone filler, Slag or Fly ash or natural Pozzolan.

None of the tested “CEM X” cements belong to any 27 common classes of the current version of the 197-1 cement standard. However, all the constituents of these “CEM X” cements comply with the EN 197-1 standard.
